what BMX bike should i get?
I’m 14 year old boy. i haven’t had a bike for a few years because there was nowhere to keep it. but now i have been told i can get a bike for christmas.
i want a BMX bike – they are small and cheap – but i don’t know anything about BMX bikes!!!!
i want a bike that i can easily ride around town, fast, comfortable, and easy to accelerate, but i cant do many tricks as there is no skate park. i want one with stunt pegs.
i dont know which type – ie. freestyle, bmx or jump – i should get.
i dont know anything about makes of bikes or anything at all about bmx bikes.
please give me LOTS of advice about BMX bikes as i really do not know anything about BMX bikes and i am DESPERATE to have one!!!!

it needs to be quite cheap – i have to pay for it myself! – under £150 / 200$
first thing to know about bmx is that it is not cheap. and neither are the hospital bills so if u want to hardcore ride than keep reading. don’t go to any walmart kmart target or anything like that. if you want a nice bike the bike of ur dreams is on danscomp.com. so if ur budget is $200 then ur gonna have to start start saving up.
-get a cassette hub.
-get a fit, eastern, stolen, or subrosa.
-hi-tensile steal is cheap and not strong enough.
-you want a full/100% chromoly frame and parts, NOT full/100% main frame
-if ur riding street the best you can get for the price is stolen sinner $380 for the 08′ and $380 for the 09′ unless you can’t be real and get the free coaster version.
-get ur bike off of danscomp.com
- cassette you have to pedal
-free coaster you just ride fakie without pedaling backwards
-try to get an integrated/campy spec because standard headsets sre to hard to work with
-get a mid or spanish BB (ball bearings)
-don’t cry
- but dont be a poser ull go through that later everyone does
- you will hopefully listen to me and be smart.
sorry for the harshness but i have to so you get it strait at the beginning that bmx is not cheap or easy at firt, and it will be expensive for the GOOD STUFF.
